This recent "study" is amusing on a number of levels, not the least of which is why someone named Nimrod is researching what's "cool":
It's hip to be square, according to a new study.

The new cool is a friendly, good-looking, industrious person who dresses well, fits in and is trendy; someone "your mother would want you to be," said Ilan Dar-Nimrod, a researcher on the study.
