In Memory, Charles Gocher, 1952 - 2007

"...Listen to his song. Let me leave you with one last thought: If his idea seems too
preposterous, and if you don't believe in the reincarnation of the soul,
how do you know that we're not all dead already?"
preposterous, and if you don't believe in the reincarnation of the soul,
how do you know that we're not all dead already?"
from Charles Gocher Sr. by Charles Gocher Jr.
Dante's Disneyland Inferno, Sun City Girls.
Many of Charles' friends gathered in remembrance and to celebrate
the life and free soul of Gocher. It was a great party, as he'd want it...

Lynn Shelton

A couple of times last year, I had the opportunity to shoot stills on independent movie sets. When I heard that Lynn was working on her first feature film,"We Go Way Back" produced by the Film Company, I gave her a call... Lynn and I met in the mid 80's through our mutual friend Lena Sharpe. Lena was the co-founder of Women in Cinema and a talented film producer, as well as a truly wonderful person. She died tragically at an early age in a plane accident while working on a documentary film project on forestry for PBS. Lynn has dedicated her film to Lena. The hard work of the cast and crew of WGWB has paid off with acceptance into this years Slamdance Festival , not to mention a thoughtful story beautifully filmed. (see a synopsis and the trailer here...)
