Accordion for Sale

Wanna buy this lovely accordion? This guy is selling it for only $150. Seemed like a good deal to me. Says he's selling it for a friend that lost his fingers in a table saw accident... hey, I'm just reporting what I was told. Call John @ 206.851.3133

Fretboard Journal #2

These fotos of Stephen Malkmus were shot for the new issue of the eminently gorgeous and high quality Fretboard Journal #2, which will be making it out to the newstand in the next week or so... I also have a feature spread of pics for an interview with Sir Richard Bishop. Look for it, it looks great and has Neko Case on the cover, one of my favorite female voices recording today...

String Specialists

Wall of Sound presented the third annual installment of "String Specialists" at the Rendezvous Jewel Box theater last week. It was a fine night of diverse and engaging sound & song. Pictured above are 3 of the 8 performers - Brian Falconer playing Koto, Tim Young playing a vintage Hofner guitar and Chris Martin playing an instument he just brought back from S.E. Asia (not that you can tell from these pictures...) However, there are more identifiable pictures of these and the other performers on this Wall of Sound page.
